TEDx St Helier 2026 brings together thinkers, creators, and changemakers for a day of powerful talks, shared ideas, and meaningful connection — all centred around ideas that move people and communities forward.
This event is independently organised and volunteer-led, rooted in Jersey and connected to the world.
What Is TEDx St Helier?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, independently organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience at a community level.
Our event is called TEDx St Helier, where x = independently organised TED event. At TEDx St Helier, TED Talks videos and live speakers come together to spark deep discussion, meaningful connection, and new perspectives within our community.
The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but each TEDx event — including TEDx St Helier — is independently organised by a local team.
We are 100% volunteer-led.
The Return
In 2025, TEDx St Helier returned, marking the first TEDx event in Jersey in over a decade and signalling a renewed presence on the island. This was not simply a revival of an event, but a reawakening of Jersey’s voice, with audiences leaving inspired and energised and speakers describing the experience as transformational.
New collaborations, friendships, and initiatives emerged directly from ideas shared on the stage, reaffirming a simple truth: Jersey is not just a consumer of global ideas. It is a contributor.
From Ideas To Impact
The impact of TEDx St Helier does not end when the lights go down. Ideas shared in 2025 continued to move, evolving into projects, partnerships, and community initiatives that are still shaping the island today.
Young people found renewed confidence to speak, create, and lead, while Jersey’s stories began travelling further, carried by voices ready to be heard beyond our shores. This momentum shaped the next chapter.
Our Story
TEDx St Helier is a platform for ideas worth spreading, rooted in Jersey and connected to the world.
More than a decade ago, TEDx St Helier was first introduced to the island under the leadership of Tim Rogers, bringing the TED experience to Jersey and opening a space for bold ideas, meaningful conversation, and community connection.
For the first time, local voices stood alongside global thinking, sharing ideas that challenged assumptions and inspired change.
Then, for a time, the stage went quiet. But ideas don’t disappear. Sometimes they wait.
